Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by two highly trained professional actors and facilitators who will guide you through an interactive and educational journey. Here’s what to expect:
- Diagnostic Questionnaire: Before the event, the team leader or contact will complete a brief questionnaire. This ensures a customized workshop experience, tailored to meet the unique needs and challenges of your group.
- Warm Welcome and Icebreaker: The workshop kicks off with an engaging introduction and icebreaker game. This initial activity is designed to foster unity and community, setting the stage for a collaborative learning environment.
- Live Improvised Performances: Participants will experience two dynamic, improvised scenes focusing on DE&I issues. These performances are crafted to resonate with the group, using drama to spark engagement and provoke thought.
- Active Reflection and Discussion: Following each scene, there will be a period for reflection and discussion. This is a time for participants to express their thoughts, feelings, and insights about the issues presented, encouraging a deeper understanding of DE&I challenges.
- Scene Replay with Participant Input: Leveraging the insights and discussions from the group, the scenes will be replayed with alternative outcomes. This interactive element allows participants to see the impact of different approaches and solutions to DE&I issues.
Through this process, participants gain practical tools and strategies developed by Live in Theater from years of experience, designed to address and navigate DE&I issues effectively.
This workshop is a unique blend of entertainment, education, and empathy. It employs forum theater, a form of interactive theater, as a tool for exploring solutions to social justice issues, oppression, and inequality.
